Can I change my deductible at any time?
Nobody knows your pet or your budget better than you. That’s why we put the power in your hands at Trupanion and give you control over your deductible. You can lower or raise your deductible, or choose not to have one at all. Here’s how it works.
Lowering your pet insurance deductible
You have 30 days after you enroll to lower your deductible. If you do lower it, conditions that showed signs before you lower your deductible (or during the waiting periods) still need to meet the higher deductible. Remember, whenever you change your deductible, your monthly price will change as well.

Raising your pet insurance deductible
Great news! You can increase your deductible at any time. Any conditions that were present before your raised your deductible will need to meet the new, higher deductible.
